The Internet Chef Talks to Reem from www.tummyrumble.net

Reem from www.tummyrumble.net

and asks her  Just one Question…

“What inspired you to blog about food?”

I’ve always liked to cook and of course eat, but when my friends started getting sick of me talking about food, I knew it was time to put my passion somewhere else. I’d been a long time fan of Grab Your Fork and Not Quite Nigella, so I figured a blog was the best place to start, especially as I was anticipating a degustation with matched wines at Becasse!

Since then I’ve been inspired by the great Aussie chefs I’ve met like Mark Best of Marque, David Tsirekas of Perama and Jared Ingersoll of Danks St Depot, as well as  incredible home cooks like Kathryn Elliott and Tim Elwin, and my collection of cookbooks.  Every weekend I head to markets from Eveleigh to Marrickville and Kings Cross to get inspired by the best in seasonal produce to grab and take home to cook for the following week.

I challenge myself to try to cook one new thing a week, but can never resist baking a little sweet treat for friends, colleagues and neighbours.
